All massage therapists are Nationally Certified by the NCBTMB (National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork), as well as the State of Delaware Board of Massage & Bodywork.

About the Owner

Terry Meyer started her career in 1991, leaving the medical profession to open Holistic Health Enhancement, in Lewes, Delaware. Relocating to Delaware in 1996, she opened Holistic Health Enhancement Practice and School of Massage.

Terry has worked extensively with medical professionals throughout the state, including Doctors, Nurses, Chiropractors, and Psychologists. Changing the name in 2001 to Massage & Reflexology of Delaware and opening Delaware School of Massage & Reflexology, she obtained National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork approval for her Continuing Education Classes. The only CEU Program, with such distinction, in the State of Delaware.

She is dedicated to the belief that massage and reflexology are integral, effective components in pain relief, stress management and in a well-rounded health care regimen. Currently, Terry owns and operates Massage & Reflexology of Delaware, on Milltown Rd, Lindell Square Professional Center, just outside of Pike Creek Valley.

Summary of Experience

• Nationally Approved Provider of Continuing Education in Massage & Bodywork Therapy, NCBTMB and State of Delaware.
• Addressed State of Delaware Senate Hearing Committee regarding Massage Therapy Regulation.
• First lecturer to address holistic health issues at Beebe Medical Center and worked extensively with the Center co-facilitating stress management and wellness workshops including meditation, breathing, coping skills, incorporating massage/reflexology into daily life, etc.
• Owned & Operated Holistic Health Enhancement School of Massage, (one of the first massage therapy schools in Delaware), and Delaware School of Massage & Reflexology.
• Participated in many community lectures to help increase awareness of holistic approach to health and wellness, as well as lectures on the importance of stress management at work and in the home.
• Trained nurses and community members in different holistic practices to be incorporated into their work and daily lives.
• Worked with physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists and counselors to establish new boundaries of safe touch for patients with physical and sexual abuse issues.
• Published a weekly column in a local newspaper, and hosted a weekly radio show, to inform the community of the many benefits of holistic health ( “Holistic Health and You”, WGMD 92FM, Lewes).
• Former Board Member, Beebe Medical Center Department of Integrative Health.
• Licensed and Certified in Massage by the State of Delaware Board of Massage and Bodywork & the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork.
• Instructor, Balance Point Institute and DMT School of Massage in Wilmington, DE.
• Wrote, produced and recorded the CD, Intimate Interlude ~ A Couples Massage.
• Former Board Member, National Massage Therapy Institute.
